WIND provides full-service solutions for transport, handling and storage of subsea cables and flexibles, and cable recovery of subsea telecommunication cables. Our worldwide client base includes subsea cable manufacturers, subsea installation companies, EPIC contractors and utility companies.

Founded in 1991 as a cargo ship owner, WIND occupies a unique position in the subsea cable market today. Drawing on our extensive shipping network, large pool of cable handling equipment and dedicated cable crews, it is our mission to deliver excellent services characterized by safety, trust and expertise.

Attention to health and safety is paramount in everything that we do. This includes the health and safety of our clients and suppliers, as well as our own personnel. To this end, we continuously invest in the training of our personnel. WIND has a ISO 45001 certiciation underscoring WIND’s focus on health and safety. And reflecting the ongoing effort to prioritize the well-being of the employees.

For increasing the safety awareness and to promote a safety culture WIND uses Safety Culture Ladder. WIND encourages everybody in the organization to embrace safety and to start the conversation about safety.

Sustainability

Respect for the environment has always been a crucial part of WIND’s activities and working methods. We are committed to the continuous improvement of environmental performance and the prevention of pollution from all our activities. Therefore, WIND is in possession of the ISO14001 certification. This certification reflects our dedication to minimizing our environmental impact, adhering to stringent standards in resource management, waste reduction, and overall ecological responsibility.

Recovery of out-of-service cables from the seabed is a key part of our business, one that currently focuses on the recovery of subsea communications cables. These activities yield major environmental benefits as recycling defunct cables re-introduces a huge amount of high quality metals and plastics back into the global supply chain.
