Project Manager Taiwan

As a Project Manager, you will be responsible for the contractual Scope of Works of one or multiple projects. These projects are executed within project teams where you play a leading role. Supported by team members such as the Works Manager and the Project Engineer, you are accountable for the correct and complete realization of WIND’s projects, from preparation and execution to final evaluation.

The projects involve a wide range of activities including (offshore) transport and handling of subsea power cables for our clients in the offshore wind sector.

Your role in the project team

  • Collaborate with Sales & Contract Management to ensure optimal execution of tasks.
  • Appoint and supervise Works Managers and Project Engineers.
  • Act as a liaison between the client and the internal project team.
  • Work independently and result-oriented in task execution. For questions or advice, you can always turn to the Operations Manager or Sales Manager.
  • Besides a leadership role, you also have a supporting and supervisory function within the project team.
  • Report to and be accountable to the Operations Manager.

Your tasks and responsibilities

  • Assess and ensure sufficient operational capacity and resources for project preparation and execution, in collaboration with supporting departments (QHSE, Crewing, Yards & Equipment).
  • Ensure quality, safety, cost control, and project planning.
  • Ensure effective and efficient utilization of the project team.
  • Train and coach Works Managers and Project Engineers.
  • Manage client contact and satisfaction.
  • Handle variation orders and final invoicing to the client.
  • Ensure financial project outcomes.
  • Identify opportunities for improvement within the project organization.
  • Ensure compliance with SCL, ISO9001, ISO14001, ISO45001 standards.

Knowledge and skills

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent with a relevant technical background.
  • Proactive with a “getting the job done” mentality.
  • Ability to motivate, instruct, and address a team when necessary.
  • Creative problem-solving skills and perseverance.
  • Strong social and communication skills.
  • Assertive and persuasive in interactions with clients and stakeholders.
  • Attention to detail in administration and reporting.
  • Experience with project-based work in contracting, offshore wind industry, or maritime background is a plus.
